Mission San Juan Capistrano Wedding - Behind The Scenes

Living in Southern California, we sometimes forget about the beautiful gems we have right here in our own backyard because there are just so many! This was the case with a recent wedding I designed for a beautiful couple married in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Forget about the fact that Kristina and Jesse look like they just came off the cover of a magazine themselves, but they had an absolutely beautiful, yet intimate, wedding; reminding me of a little city tucked away here in South OC. Mission San Juan Capistrano is a beautiful backdrop for a California wedding, and with so much history it's sure to peak the interests of guests beyond just the normal wedding venue.

Dolce VIta Events provided the floral and design for this mid June wedding and I wanted to create a standout design with each floral element we provided. The bride was specific in her vision for her bouquet, and rightfully so, as she wanted it to perfectly match and compliment her showstopping gown without taking away the attention.

The bouquet consisted of Argentine roses, peonies, football mums, ranunculus, and dusty miller in a very full design. Blush and creme trim adorned the personal bible verse page embossed on the back of the bouquet handle, a personal touch so sweet and true to the couple's Faith.
The cake, boutonnieres, flower girl halo and basket, centerpieces and mother of the bride corsage all had just as much detail as the bouquet and I loved the reaction of complete happiness the bride expressed at the first sight of her bouquet.
